History
The Central European Olympiad in Informatics (CEOI) was first held in 1994 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, marking the beginning of a prestigious annual competition aimed at promoting excellence in computer science among high school students in Central Europe. Since then, the CEOI has taken place every year, with hosting duties rotating among the participating countries. Each edition reflects the host country's unique academic strengths and cultural identity, contributing to a rich and diverse experience for all attendees. Over the years, CEOI has evolved into a highly regarded platform for showcasing young talent in informatics while fostering international collaboration, educational exchange, and lasting friendships across borders.
